These guys are gun-ho with god..and that makes all the difference in the world with regards to defeating the enemy..
In this case the enemy is god..or the islamic version to be more specific.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06698117410778232102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3207551.post-1149880050555441332006-06-09T14:07:00.000-05:002006-06-09T14:07:00.000-05:00Love it, Dusty.Having read various news recaps of ...Love it, Dusty.
Having read various news recaps of the bombing today, it seems the consensus is that it was a big kill, but not one that will greatly alter the shape of things to come in Iraq.
Behind him are dozens of equally crazed bastards who envision their 72 virgins in martyr heaven.
Iraq ain't Nazi Germany and a-Z wasn't Hitler.
The atonal beat goes on.Karen Zipdrivehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10394557801356007952noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3207551.post-1149841596421271382006-06-09T03:26:00.000-05:002006-06-09T03:26:00.000-05:00Or my favorite saying fits too:Even a blind squirr...Or my favorite saying fits too:

Even a blind squirrel finds the occasional nut.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06698117410778232102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3207551.post-1149823074387608812006-06-08T22:17:00.000-05:002006-06-08T22:17:00.000-05:00Look folks...Hell yes, I'm glad al-Zarqawi was bom...Look folks...
Hell yes, I'm glad al-Zarqawi was bombed to bits. He's a prick who deserves the 72 ugliest virgin bitches in the afterlife.
But Bush getting him at this point is like Barry Bonds beating Babe Ruth's home run record.
It's a tainted win.
No WMD's in Iraq, torture at Abu Ghraib, outing CIA agents, no bin Laden, trillions wasted on an unwinnable war: these elements make the one right thing Bush and that tight-ass Rumsfeld managed to do seem anti-climactic.
If it cheers the troops, I'm glad.
But it's too little, too late and it won't make that incompetent group of draft dodgers in the Bush administration more credible.
They got lucky on this bombing.
May al-Zarqawi rot in Hell, otherwise let's not get too excited. It does mean something. He was in a strong position of power, a bit bumbling idiot - but still a significant leader.

If this gives even the slightest morale lift to our troops then great. They need it. They need to hear that something actually went right for a change.

Just curious (and not trying to start anything or flame - seriously, we're on the same team!) but what would be the reaction if we knew where Zarqawi was and DIDN'T take him out?

Shades of Tora Bora...

We did the right thing AND you're right, it won't stop all the al Qaeda roaches but it might send them scurrying for a while.

It might not change much in the long run, but that fucker deserved to go up in a cartwheeling ball of flames. After all, he's the one who beheaded Nick Berg.

(sorry if this shows up multiple times but blogger is acting wonky)MJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02353448391502872588noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3207551.post-1149796517813138372006-06-08T14:55:00.000-05:002006-06-08T14:55:00.000-05:00KZ..Your thoughts were the same as mine when I hea...KZ..Your thoughts were the same as mine when I heard it this morning..BFD...this won't do shit for stopping the insurgency. They wouldn't even charge this "Shit for Brains" pResident very much to do it either. And,... AND,... it wouldn't take four-and-a-half years, either! All Dubya's gotta do is AKS. He's too proud. He won't. His Momma would think less of him if he asked for help. There's DAMN FOOLS, then there's Dubya. He's unique!
