Bush and Cheney Chide Democrats on Iraq Deadline

They accused Democrats of political opportunism in pushing a timetable for leaving Iraq.

Oh?
Haven't they read or heard of the hundreds of polls that say the American people want this war to end? Aren't they there to enforce the will of the people who pay their salaries?
Political opportunism is a subject they know too well.
Since when does an administration have a highly paid political goon like Karl Rove on staff whose only function is political chicanery? Did the Clintons put James Carville on the tax funded payroll when they were in office? Uhh, no.
It's not a political maneuver to demand a timeline on ending this war. It's called listening to constituents and acting on their will.

Dick Cheney gets all the really outrageous lines of the administration. He is the best at delivering them with a straight face.

Today's vote on impeachment day at the Vermont legislature. Bush and Cheney both are up for it.

Wish them and us luck!

Aw, shit. It didn't pass, which is sad, because it could have freed up other states to do the same.

I haven't always been happy in Vermont, but this state is certainly growing on me since I retired and now have time to raise hell.

Sorry to hear that...was good news in New Hampshire and Iowa (of all places) lately, and our dear Governor Spitzer (NY) became the first gov in the nation today to file a bill for same-sex marriage. Hard time passing, but encouraging nonetheless.

I love Spitzer.
