My Lucchese Boots

In response to Lulu Maude's request, here's a pic of my less spectacular than my all time favorite Lucchese boots. Well, it's just one boot but you get the idea.

Lovely, and I see what you mean about the softer leather, I think. Ropers were much stiffer and really had to be broken in.

These required no break-in except for one thing. The leather on the sole was so polished and smooth I had to go out to the street and spin around a few times to rough them up for better traction.
You can see where my high instep forged itself some extra space, but that was an immediate adjustment.

They're quite lovely, your boots... but I do think that for all that money you should get some traction.

I guess Vibram soles are un-Texan, but they do grip.

Vibram soles? On cowboy boots???
HAHAHAHA!
May as well put zippers on the sides, baby!
I think boots are smooth on the bottoms because the original cowboys didn't want to have to dig cow and horseshit out of any grooves.

DisCap- try looking for her in a Depends or HoverRound commercial.
