Oooh, He's a Little Bitch When He Gets Cornered

From the AP:
"A House committee was to vote Wednesday to authorize subpoenas for political director
Karl Rove and other administration officials despite Bush's declaration a day earlier that Democrats must accept his offer to allow the officials to talk privately to the House and Senate Judiciary Committees, but not under oath and not on the record. Would he fight Democrats in court to protect his aides against congressional subpoenas? "Absolutely," Bush declared Tuesday in televised remarks from the White House..."

Oh sure, drag it through the justice system and let the ultimate judgment rest with the Supreme Court a few years from now.
Does Bush even realize that his stubborn refusal to have his dos amigos Rove and Harriet Myers exposed to the rigors of Senate testimony under oath plainly shows the American public how little they can bear scrutiny?
Give me a fuckin' break.

Once again, why is Karl Rove on the Federal payroll when he's clearly a political operative and nothing more? The RNC should be paying that fat bastard's salary, not us.

I am really enjoying our Senator, Patrick Leahy, bird-dog the bastard.

Am I too old to start a P.Leahy fan club? We could meet him at the airport and swoon when he comes to town.

I'm thankful for our VT Congressional delegation.

I love Leahy.
He's old and been around so long, he says what he wants without giving a damn what the GOP thinks.
Guts like him made Cheney blink on the Senate floor.
That "Go fuck yourself" remark Dick hurled at him showed the world Leahy got under his thin skin.

Change "guts" to "guys."
It's early- no coffee yet.

Its fun too watching Tony Snow get tongue tied trying to defend his employers while contradicting every word he uttered when Nixon was the Criminal in Chief.

I read a good line today re the current administration:
"You can get fired for independence but not for incompetence."

This is not a scrutiny issue or legal issue that you libs and your accomplices in the media are making it out to be. The president, whoever he is, needs to have advisors (of his choice, not yours) that can give him their honest advice without fear of being subpeoned by the wackos in the other party. Slick Willie did the same thing, over and over again. This is simply an attempt by the libs to "get" someone they don't like by trapping him/her with a trumped up perjury charge like they did with Scooter.

Stop the insanity.

Uhh, no this is about an administration that puts loyalty to their cause over American justice.
Gonzales lied about his involvement for a reason. He knew what he did was wrong and he didn't want to be caught up in another lie and get his crooked ass fired.
Bush & Co have had so many scandals you neo-cons are too bewildered to understand what the truth is anymore.
Fewer than 30% of Americans are stil buying the crap Bush and his crooked pals are selling.
You neo-cons are no different than the O.J. jury. The truth doesn't matter, you just back your boy regardless of what the evidence shows.
You punks can't handle the truth that you backed and still back a dishonest, incompetent loser.
I pity you.
