McCain's Religious Problems

McCain and Hagee

McCain's other crazy pal Rod Parsley

Listen.
We all know Obama recently endured a rocky period when his pastor turned out to be a little too Black for mainstream America to handle.
Now comes McCain, having to (get this) reject the endorsements he sought from two particularly odious preachers: John Hagee and Rod Parsley.
It seems McCain didn't bother to first check these two lunatics out. He was in too much of a rush to appease the crazy Christian religious zealots in America who wrap their hatred and xenophobia in the pages of the Bible.
It's easy enough to Google Hagee and Parsley and see the insane, hateful things they've said from the pulpit, so I'll spare you the details.
But my point is this:
People need to notice that McCain apparently has NO spiritual advisor he has personally vetted by attending any church on a regular basis.
I could certainly live with a candidate who, like me, has no official ties to any church or congregation. I'd love to hear a candidate say, "I believe that God is everywhere, especially inside my heart."
People need to notice how extremely phony McCain is.
Take for instance, the recent vote in the Senate on Sen. Jim Webb's revamped GI Bill that increases veterans' college tuition and more.
One would THINK that Sen. McCain would drop all campaign duties to return to DC and vote yes on the bill.
But no, I guess appearing on "Ellen" was more urgent for him. He was a conspicuous no-show in the Senate for this crucial vote, yet I'm sure he still cashes his huge government payroll checks without any bouts of conscience.
My friends, McCain has hugged Bush, embraced two religious lunatics, hidden his unattractive adopted daughter from public view, flip flopped on Iraq, advocated for torture and ignoring the Geneva Conventions, called his wife a cunt in public and proven he'll say or do ANYTHING to get elected.
Like Bush, he had no moral compass.
Like Bush, he only serves those who serve him.
I say God Bless America, but God Damn McCain.

Now, let's be fair here, Ms. Zipdrive; I wouldn't want your readers to accuse you of taking our next President's comments out of context. The gorgeous, soon-to-be First Lady Cindy had made a disparaging comment about the good Senator's thinning hair. Understandably, and with absolute justification, he responded with, "At least I don't plaster on the make-up like a trollop, you cunt."

Sure seems like an appropriate response to this proud Republican observer.........

True. If some beautiful, much younger, multi-millionaire who loved me mentioned my spare tire, for instance, I think calling her a cunt would be a very reasonable reaction...if I was totally insane, that is.

I never thought about who actually IS McSame's spiritual advisor was...none.

Yet he panders his fucking ass off to those theocratic fuckwits.

-Like Bush and Rove did.

My memorial day piece is about Weathervane's voting record on all things soldier oriented.

I'm no longer sure McCain believes in monotheism. It's not an absurd suspicion when you consider how much time he's spent getting cozy with people who disparage Catholics, Muslims and Jews.

Despite my own faith life, I could care f*cking less about a candidate's faith. I mean - can't we just have a smart president and one with some kind of integrity?

I know - call me a crazy dreamer!

You know how I feel about this nonsense as you were at my blog earlier.

Watching McCain makes me think of something my mom used to say when she was alive "honey - there's no fool like an old fool!"

I love how his handlers bragged about his robust health after his 1,200 page health report was released to the media.
My friends, if you have a 1,200 page health report, you simply cannot be that healthy.

a-men

kz -- you said everything i wanted to say about this complete and total scumbag

did you see how uncomfortable he was on Ellen? he wanted to be ANYWHERE else -- even with Hagee when she brought up gay marriage in Calif. but she ends up saving him at the end

one more thing will happen betwen now and Nov -- mccain will explode in a severe tantrum publicly sometime -- he is a loose cannon and he cannot control himself

I did see his discomfort with Ellen and I wondered why he'd go on her show knowing she's a lesbian about to marry her beautiful fiancee.
Then I remembered photos of him hugging Bush and I was reminded how he'd suck a venomous snake to get elected.
When he speaks with his jaw clenched, he's about to lose it.
I just hope Obama knows how to mash his buttons and provoke a public tantrum.
It can't be that hard.

Not to forget that the records couldn't be published and the fucker only let certain press folks peer at them.

What a fucking asshole.

Your right KZ..1200 pages..woot!

karenzipdrive said...

We all know what a ream of paper looks like. Now, multiply that by two and add 200 more pages and you have an idea of the pile of paper that constitutes that creaky old bastard's medical records.
Someone ought to use that number and launch a drive to donate 1,200 pennies to Obama's campaign.
Twelve bucks isn't much until you multiply it by millions.

Dusty said...

I am sure NOT ONE reporter waded through that entire pile of crap. Bet they just skimmed or read from a certain date forward. McCain baffled them with bullshit.

Good Idea KZ!

Dusty it's the oldest trick in the book. When I was in college studying journalism, the chancellor was always trying to fuck me by giving me far too much paperwork to slog through in time for deadline.
To get even, I made so many open records requests he complained and said he'd have to hire new staff to keep up with my relentless requests.
I said so be it.
Suddenly he started being a hell of a lot more cooperative about giving me concise materials that didn't require the fucking Rosetta Stone to decipher.
The media should have demanded not just copies of McCain's medical reports, but the time they needed to comb every page.
If they refused to comply, then the story should have been the enormity of the old fart's file.

Lots of late night jokes about McCain's 1200 page medical file-- that was volume 1.
You know, it's just a distraction.
If elected (ugh), he would be the oldest president in US history, so his handlers are trying to cut this issue off at the pass.
It's clear that he is still alive, and the presumptive nominee. OK! He's got a pulse-- does he have a heart & brain are the real issues.

karenzipdrive said...

He has a pulse and a far better brain than Bush. But his recent no-show in the Senate during the vote to enhance the GI Bill makes it abundantly clear he hasn't got the heart.
I don't want a president who doesn't support the troops OR our veterans.

So, from the wrong side of the Atlantic obviously, can someone tell me exactly why it would have mattered if Obama had been a Muslim?

karenzipdrive said...

Hi Doorman,
I can field that question!!
Millions of Americans have been convinced that ALL Muslims are either:
(a) Terrorists who want us dead
(b) Convenience store clerks who want us to try their new chutney flavored Slurpees
(c) Tech support for AOL, AT&T, Bank of America, Dell, Microsoft, etc.

While many of us realize that (b) and(c) are actually Pakistanis or Indians who are in fact Hindu, that religion is not Christian, therefore also suspect.

America used to say "bring us your huddled masses yearning to be free..." but then the White Anglo Saxon Protestant Republicans took over and now they don't even want Mexican aliens harvesting our crops.
That's right, the same people who made it okie dokie for huge corporations to export millions of high paying jobs to India and Pakistan do not want Mexican nationals coming here to do the work no American wants to do.

I hope that answers your question, and thanks for stopping by.

Dusty said...

I think you nailed that response Zippy! :)

I get it now: much as I suspected. Thanks.
