Going away to a secluded but elegant place where there are wonderful pine trees.

Happy Valentine's Day to you too KZ.

Passed me by again. No plans yet, no sign of anybody to rescue me from TV, football and general singledom in the next 7 hours either!

Have fun sis. Love you!
Iain, you are so charming I am shocked nobody has snapped you up.
If you were here I'd make it my personal mission to find you the perfect Valentine.

We had breakfast out, then worked out. Now we're reading Frank Rich aloud and snuggling.

Maureen Dowd had a hilarious column in today's NY Times. It's about an imaginary meeting between Obama and Dick Cheney.

Went to see Bill Maher last night in Raleigh, N.C. We thought they were taping it for an HBO special, but it was live last night on HBO at 10pm. Today, not doing much of anything.

Sunday's our college age "kid" & his laundry come to visit. I made up a super nice salad, & got a broiled chicken, got some u bake sourdough bread... ( the kid loves the sourdough bread).

We went to a special chocolatier sampling last night - hand made chocolat from her Mother's italian home made recipes .

Mmmm the best chocolate evah!

Then we went to a favorite Thai restaurant & invited the kiddo as well, he looks very thin & always seems hungry- so I feel like I need to feed him . It's nice to visit with the kiddo.

There were roses & giftie things too.

Very sweet, KZ, thank you! Almost as good as being matchmaker, you pointed me to that O'Dowd article in the NYT :)

That's preposterous. We all know Palin ignores that baby and makes Bristol do all the child rearing.

P.S. I made chicken l'orange for dinner for a couple of my friends, one of whom brought absolutely delicious home-made bread AND beer.
I forgot how good beer used to taste before it got so commersh.
