Courtside, Baby!

Today must be my lucky day.
A friend I ran into, who just happens to have courtside season tickets for the reigning world champion San Antonio Spurs, offered me a free ticket to watch the Spurs beat the Bucks tonight.
In person.
Courtside.
Just left of center court.
Did I mention courtside?
... Just checkin.'
Hotcha!

wow - good for you...
i sat courtside ages ago - back when the cavs were weak - and so was their opponent... so the game wasn't great - but courtside was sooooo cool...

i also say courtside for the defunct cleveland rockers of the wnba - real cool

such a great/different way to see the game...

have fun!

At the old Alamodome I once got to sit in a skybox, and another time I was in row 4 or 6 at a Spurs/Utah game, but this time I am courtside right near the Bucks benches.
Heh, heh, heh- I hope they don't mind some heckling, those big fat LOSERS.
:D

Was it televised? I'll have to keep an eye out for you -- you weren't the one heckling one of the players' families now, were you? ;)

It was televised but I wasn't heckling anyone until after the first half.
I rode down there with my friend Kathy and her old mother, who have season tickets up a little, right behind the TV and Jumbotron camera operators.
By the half I got bored sitting by myself, so I went to where they were and swapped my ticket with the old lady. She was thrilled and I got to sit with my friend where I could make some noise without feeling self-conscious.
The game kinda sucked, although we did win by a nose.
Though the Bucks are a lousy team, they seem to have the Spurs' number and they gave us fits all evening.
The best part was watching Eva Longoria draping herself all over Tony Parker's brother down on at courtside.
Seriously, the bitch was all over the guy (who looks almost exactly like Tony).
And the best part of the night was when we got the Jumbotron woman to hone in on Kathy's mother.
There she was, scowling at the players for all to see on the giant screen.

Gotta love the jumbotron. It's a High Def guarantee that I'll pluck and preen before attending any games at courtside.

Luckily, the Spurs colors are black and silver. Wearing a black top with whatever-colored pants is the traditional uniform. I wore black socks with sparkly silver deers on them, but nobody seemed to notice.
