State of the Unctuous

I didn't watch Goofy's speech last night. I watched all the gay stuff on Bravo instead.
Whatever he said, I don't believe. And whatever he failed to say, he should have said.
I heard he mentioned the word terror almost 20 times.
Perfect.
He should be referred to as, "The Terror President."
I'm sure getting ready to deliver the speech was exhausting for him.
Watch: he'll soon be rushing back to Crawford for another vacation.
After all, there is brush to clear, lines to snort and booze to drink.
Did you watch it? What did you think?

Nah... we don't have TV, but we also avoided the radio. I can't stand the sound of his voice.

There were a couple of great articles in the NY Times yesterday on why the State of the Union speech should be scrapped. Apparently it apes the Queen's speech to Parliament. Thomas Jefferson did away with it when he was President, and it stayed obsolete till ole Anglophile (and racist) Woodrow Wilson revived it.

Anyway, I can't even stand to listen to Voices of the Week on Sunday morning NPR because it includes Junior, so why would I opt for a whole damn speech? It's bad enough to hear the pundits dwell on its supposed nuances the next day.

I'm witcha, Zip.

I'm sure a few people may have listened to the speech, but I no longer have the stomach for his cliche-ridden extravaganzas.
He's full of shit and all the speechwriters on Earth can't change that.

Thank God for cable.

Let's put it this way--I've never been so happy to have a broken TV in my life. My mother switched to the Food Network about the time it was announced they arrested Cindy Sheehan for showing up to protest. Even a couple of people at work who I thought were die-hard Republicans didn't watch--guess they didn't want to hear his lies, either.

I did a random survey today in the real world, and nobody watched the damn fool's blathering.
Same as it ever was...

It was the gov=elect of VA. He was recently elected so he has no fear of being ousted from office. He also didn't say a damn thing.
