I'd Keep Him Hidden From the Media, too

Folks, this is a verbatim quote from our postmodernist DoD Secretary Ronald Dumsfeld:

"As we know, there are known knowns. There are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns. That is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns, the ones we don't know we don't know."

Ask yourself: if you were a small business owner interviewing potential delivery boys or girls and an applicant answered ANY question that way, would you hire him or her?

The whole crew has formed a new antilanguage. They feel like they are communicating because they made sounds. We are supposed to feel that we've been given information because we heard sounds. Yet, I guess we are supposed to be too stupid to know that Bushawocky is a language spoken with emotion by an idiot, signifying nothing. Oh, and look at that I wound up paraphrasing Shakespeare.

Huh? I almost got lost near the middle of the last of the known knowns. But, I held my own.

I agree with mike on the "postmodernist" -- HA!

When I was a mainstream reporter and some politician would give me a gibberish reply to a question, I'd say, "I didn't understand that reply, and I'm sure you don't want me to quote you saying something nobody can make sense of.
"Could you possibly respond again so even a dumb reporter like me can get it?"
Heh!
They fell for it every time.

Dusty I got it from an e-mail subscription I have to American Progress Action.org.
But it's also been all over the web. Try Googling "Rumsfeld+stupid comments"- that may lead you to it.
