A Clue About Where to Point the Finger
Firefighter to Replace Brown As FEMA Chief
By RON FOURNIER
AP Political Writer
WASHINGTON — Federal Emergency Management Agency director Mike Brown resigned Monday, three days after losing his onsite command of the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. The White House picked a top FEMA official with three decades of firefighting experience as his replacement..."
For all the chimp fans who still want to lob the blame toward Louisiana politicians- uhh, none of them are quitting or being asked to leave.
Face it, Bush lemmings, your commander n' thief picked the wrong buddy to lead FEMA.
Remember when Bush said last week, "Brownie, you're doin' a helluva job?"
So are you, Bushie.
For a chimp, that is.

cha ching...the whole shootin match is about to come crashin down...we hope.
it'd seem that way, wouldn't it? don't worry, Chimp's fathead buddy Karl will figger a way to get Bush out of the muck and polish that teflon exterior of his right up and get his sorry ass back on the pedestal, with Brownie and perhaps Chertof taking the brunt of the heat from the investigations.
back where I come from, the term 'chickenshit' is reserved for the most dispicable of characters. Sawed-off Chickenshit is a term I've used to describe our commander in thief many a time. Hide and watch, he'll get out of this pickle scot free...
The pinhead just said on CNN, "No I haven't talked to Chertoff or Brown lately--as you may know, I've been working."
He acts like the word "working" is some kind of special thing he does when he has to show he's in earnest.
naah...the 'as you may know' was stated rather matter-of-factly, as if he was meaning to say 'while the rest of you lolligaggers, ne'er-do-wells, scofflaws and evildoers were giving the old snooze button a workout before sittin on your welfare ghetto botty asses poppin bonbons and calving kids in between Oprah segments, I was up prayin and savin the world from tyrrany and spreadin freedom and democracy to poor people everywhere.'
i'm sorry, pallie, I'm 34 years old. i don't cotton to having my intelligence insulted one bit. don't fucking talk to me like i'm a toddler...'now now sonny boy, don't get in the way, the president's hard at work, and he's got a lot of important president stuff to do that you can't possibly understand.'
he should have been hard at work instead of on vacation the day Katrina made landfall, if not before!
Excuse me, Ms Karen, but Bush said heckuva because he's such a nice Christian boy.
Now, which finger were we talking about?
And he appointed the "Duct Tape" man to run FEMA now - let's all tape up our windows folks - sure-fire defense against a biological attack, so says our new FEMA leader.
(Did take your point exactly, though, KZ - I do notice the mayor and governor are still in their jobs).
I hope this doesnt upset you karen but I would like to post a link to housing or helping the animals involved in this disaster: http://www.uan.org/
the animals are the least able to help themselves and bush and his jackass buddies dont give two shits about them..much less the humans involved..i hope this link doesnt offend you..its not something I do on a regular basis.
"Duct Tape" man..heh, Red Green could have done a better job than Brownie.
Centuries from now, historians will look back at the Bush II Era as a time when America decided to conduct a little experiment: What if we put someone with no qualifications in the highest office in the land, someone who didn't have a clue what he was doing?
Those historians will also drive themselves insane trying to figure how the experiment was allowed to continue even after it reached the point where it was endangering its citizens.
Centuries from now?
More like decades from now, that is if we have enough people left who can read and write to do the research.
Dusty, I worry about the little animals affected by Katrina too, so thank you for posting a link on how to help them.
ditto, karen...centuries?
Historians (and a growing number of ordinary citiznes) are asking this question NOW!
I sure as hell am.
I knew when he was Texas governor he wasn't worth a warm bucket of spit.
lol...good points, all.
When I said "centuries," I meant a time in the future when nobody had any personal recollection of this lame-ass administration, when historians would look back at 2001-2009 (shudder) the way we might look back at, say, the Polk administration. We're immersed in it, so we know the idiocy first-hand. But I'm imagining a future historian, looking back through the eyes of scholarship and not emotion--I just think it'll blow his mind that the Bush years happened at all.
yeah...what the hell WERE we thinking?!?
Obviously half of us weren't thinking at all...
Bush will go down in history making Hoover and Nixon seem like visionary statesmen.
is anyone still amazed at how we went from having a president who was a Rhodes'(sp) Scholar to one who got a 'Gentleman's C' at Yale Business?
does this in any way have any reflection on the general intellect/intelligence standard of this country?
