What I Like About YOU!

Call me shallow, I don't care, but what I really like best about the new freshman senator from New York Caroline Kennedy is that she looks halfway beat to hell.
With her dough, she could afford Botox, plastic surgery, expensive creams and lotions that would make that sweet face look less like it was carved from cornbread.
But no.
CK's face has miles of laughter, roads of sorrow and plenty of character etched into it.
This is a woman for whom circumstances have brought the depths of sorrow and the heights of elation. Her face shows every high and low.
She may not have a miles-long political resume, but this woman has lived and loved and lost enough to give her a sense of empathy as a public servant.
Way to go, Senator Kennedy.
May God bless you as you serve the people.

It's our imperfections that make us interesting, right? Imagine how dull it would be if we were all beautiful as prescribed by Madison Avenue or some men's magazine.

I think she's hotter than hell.

I'm not saying she's unattractive, I'm saying I like that she's not a vain person about her looks like many people in her economic bracket would be.

I agree with you Karen. In her circles it would be far easier to have those things "fixed." The fact that she doesn't says a lot about her priorities, I think. She's very much like her family - about public service and not just doing the social circuit.

As a New Yorker, I think she will be great - for the reasons you state and more!

she will make an excellent senator -- the press is friggin jealous. what they have done to her is unreal - no other person would get this kind of treatment.

I knew a very smart lady who was the clerk at the laborer's union hall yrs ago. she was married to a drunk and both her sons died in 5 yrs. that's a lot of love and loss but it didn't qualify her to be a senator !!!!

Rasta,
Is your pal a lawyer with plenty of qualified, experienced people to help guide her through the Senate?
No, I didn't think so.
Smartass.

Again, this is New York's business, no one else's. But for the sake of the nation, I think she has the heart and brains to make the right choices for everyone, all people and living creatures.

Put your worries into the economy and all the other real life crap that is sinking this country.
