Gee, What a Surprise

No wonder Bush wasn't in any hurry to identify on his staff the leaker or leakers of classified information.
Turns out he was the leaker.
Is anyone actually surprised?

BigSis- Clyde is so intractable, he wouldn't listen to a lawyer like you any more that I can tell him how journalism works.
He's a U.S. mail sorter of the Cliff Claven genre. He knows it all, as long as rightwingers write Blogs from which he gets his talking points.
I only correspond with him because Archie Bunker is dead and I miss his brand of social and political ignorance.

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid said of the latest Bush scandal, "In light of today's shocking revelation, President Bush must fully disclose his participation in the selective leaking of classified information.
"The American people must know the truth."

Dr.Howard Dean, chairman of the Democratic National Committee, said, "The fact that the president was willing to reveal classified information for political gain and put the interests of his political party ahead of America's security shows that he can no longer be trusted to keep America safe."

I just got home from work. Did the friggin Shrub have his dirty lil hands in Plamegate? I got an email from truthout stating something to that fact.

Does the Nixon whitehouse ring any bells..anyone?

Nothing happens without the Prez knowing it..nothing.I don't give a rat's ass who did what, the Shrub knew all along what the plan was..

Jumpin' Jehosaphat!

It's been so long since I've seen "Clyde" comment here I thought maybe his mother had locked him in a box under her bed, or maybe chained him to a radiator or something!

Clyde is mulling an offer to head up FEMA. Bush needs a loyalist.

That was a rhetorical question, wasn't it, KZ??

Clyde and I correspond on occasion and I sent one e-mail to him and BigSis, who happens to be my actual big sister.
Clyde pressed the "reply to all" button and my sister was treated to a big dollop of his pretzel logic.
He's way too chicken to reply to anything in my comments box. He can't take the truth.

I heard John Kerry speak on CNN yesterday afternoon. Had he exhibited that kind of fire and candor when he was a candidate, he still wouldn't be president because Bush and Diebold stole the election again, but Kerry would be a potentially better candidate in '08.
I doubt he can keep it up, though. He's way too diplomatic with these GOP freaks.
So far, Russ Feingold, Harry Reid and Dr. Howard Dean are my favorite outspoken Democrats.

Cheney and Bush have been hinting around lately that they have the authority to de-classify classified information. Even if they use that excuse as a reason for holding Bush blameless, it still doesn't negate the fact that Bush lied to our faces. Plus, he still outed a CIA operative and her under cover corporation -- all for petty political reasons. Even if he deemed the outing of Plame as de-classified, it was still petty, juvenile and dangerous.

Impeach him already.

These bumbling crooks make it up as they go along, and now they've learned when they break the law, they can claim executive priveledge and make up a new law.
People like Clyde rally behind them because they are too idiotic to think things through.
Hell, I'm still fuming about gas being $2.50 a gallon. Gas prices are driving up the prices of everything that gets delivered by a truck or plane.
And why?
Because BushCo conspired to jack the prices up, and got away with it.

gas is 2.80 a gallon here..and thats the cheap stuff. At Chevron its 3.00/gallon

No, I wasn't surprised that Bush was the consenting leaker. What would surprise me would be Congress's holding him accountable for it... or even the press...

California is a blue state. Don't think just because CA has ports and gas refineries all over the place that BushCo hasn't singled them out as revenge for the 2004 vote.

Though it hasn't been directly confirmed, I think we can safely assume that Bush also authorized the leak of a CIA Agent Valerie Plame's identity.
I don't care who does the leaking-it's treason.
We pay multi millions per year to fund the CIA. If you were a covert CIA agent currently working for a dummy company in the Middle East, how safe would you feel with Bush at the helm?
