Tell Ya What, Obama...

No public option? No more support from this blog.
I've been increasingly worried about your backbone, but if you drop the health care public option because you're too scared of the Republicans and Blue Dog Democrats, then you can get your second-term votes from them.
We didn't vote for a bi-partisan milquetoast, we voted for change. And this is not change, it's the Republicans bullying the Democrats, as usual.
If you can't get this reform done with the Democrats in complete control of both houses, then you can't get anything done and we don't need you as our president.
You are disturbing your base by pandering to those who wouldn't vote for any health care bill of yours regardless of what was in it.
You, sir, are a disappointing wimp. Please, prove me wrong. Please!

Hillary wouldn't have bent over for the Republicans. Is it too early to say 'I told you so' to all the D's who thought she was awful and O. was Superman?
Shee-it.

i wasn't going to leave a comment, but then i saw that the random word for verification was mrdinke, and the irony was too great to pass on it.

I'm feeling the same way.

My heart sank when I read a article with the news.
WTF???

Are the damned Ins & big pharma people that are all monied up -- you cave like a deck of cards?

Screw these lunatics screaming for freedom.

I think our town hall meeting tomorrow night just got a little more interesting.

If and after he caves without a fight on this, how long before there's another "surge" in Afghanistan? Maybe targetted strikes on some African country, e.g. Sudan. Something "strong".

P.S. to Obama:
The Secret Service is there to keep you safe. Allowing gunfreaks to show up with loaded guns right outside the doors of wherever you are appearing is just asking to be shot.
Please use some common sense and protect yourself--like Bush did.

On that point - presumably Obama is telling the Secret Service to keep a low profile, not to challenge the crazies with the news headlines that would follow. Hope not - they should be allowed to do the job. Sights trained, follow the mullet, beer gut, tucked-in T-shirt and holster. Extraordinary rendition?

Hillary was half-Republican from the start, and we all saw where her health care reforms in the 90s went.

Obama's lack of backbone was apparent when he reneged on telecom immunity during the campaign. Nobody who was paying attention ought to be surprised at how he continues to bend over for the sake of bipartisanship, whatever that is.

It is not good.

Just not good at all.

In fact, it sucks. A lot.

Obama's not unsafe. The only reason anyone would seriously consider taking him out is if he was effective in his job.

The bush admin had people removed from the premises if they did not like their freaking *bumper sticker*. Bumper stickers do not cause death.

I would think the Obama people would do their homework & keep him far the hell away from AK 47 rifle friendly places.

I have been wondering if the rethugs are just pawns in all of this. Maybe the dems aren't catering to the rethugs. Maybe they are just catering to the corporations, and the rethugs are taking credit.

Jane Hamsher's all over it:

and you can bet Rahm's behind it all.

Uh... remember that Hillary is married to the guy who "reformed" welfare and out-Republicaned the Republicans of his time.

I don't know who has the chutzpah to take on these sick bastards. Seems to me Obama's having a hard time with the angry black male thing. His Fox enemies can't wait to yak endlessly on anything he says or does that is informed by his blackness (though it's encouraging to see companies bailing on Glenn Beck by the hordes.)

Somebody oughta bomb Fox News with its misinformation, turned into an endless stream of talking points for its air-headed commentators.

This is way beyond free speech. Free lies aren't the same thing.

He reminds me lately of a dog chasing it's own tail.

The Big O needs to get back to his roots..mainly those he used when campaigning for the fucking job of US Prez. The Rethugs threw a ton of shit at him and he never even blinked..

Now, he looks like a tool.

Karen Zipdrive said...

He looks like a tool all right: for Big Insurance and Pharma.
Seriously, he better get back on track and salvage the public option or we can add him to the pile of Democratic politicians who got elected and sold The People down the river for political expedience.
