Can't wait to learn what it took to bring this shameless self promoter down. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that its something about Levi and Sarah.

Someone's got something on her.

Levi is too smart for sarah - i think sarah has been have a thing with Miss California.... and they are now going to launch a "Make Marriage between Idiots Legal in Alaska"

I think someone finally figured out how to prove that Trig is not her baby, he's her grandson and Bristol's first son. And maybe Levi's not the father?!?

Gotta be some kind of bad, bad scandal to make her quit only 2.5 years into a 4-year term.
She said she didn't want to be a lame duck, but she's been in office long enough for that.

Fishy as hell.

Or someone has put something in her.

Boo ya! Thanks I'm here all week.

errata: she's NOT been in office lone enough...

criminal indictment coming down the pipeline.

You think, Nonnie? Tell me more!

I listened to her crazy-time speech again and I gotta say, something is totally up, and it's nothing legitimate.
All the sports cliches and references to God and Trig in the world won't take the stink off this fetid walrus.

She said that whole no more politics as usual thing at least 3 times. And that dead fish go with the flow.

You betcha!

Karen Zipdrive said...

I loved the dead fish part.

Funny, her speech smelled a lot like dead fish.

Karen Zipdrive said...

You gotta know Michael Jackson just sat up in his coffin and said, "What did that Eskimo Heiffer do to upstage my dead ass? I'll haunt that cow!"

I listened to the NPR Fresh Air podcast from July 1st today (a couple of days late). Terry Gross was interviewing a Washington Post reporter about the state of the Republican party. Ms.Gross made a comment saying how surprised she was that Sarah Palin hadn't quit politics altogether and focused on the celebrity part of it all perhaps with her own television show....Funny timing to hear that today!

You can listen to the episode on the NPR website and if you do, you might want to listen to the first part of the show talking about "the family" and Sanford. Creepy stuff.

Cuz2, is that you?
I somehow doubt Palin quit just for the money she'd make as a celebitchy. She's got to read polls and realize her brand of rightwing jesus-osity is waning rather than waxing.
I seriously think she flew the coop as quickly and unexpectedly as she did because someone tipped her off that she was about to be indicted or outed as some kind of crook or slimeball in general.
The timing of her hasty announcement is what's suspicious--the eve of a major holiday weekend is never a time to break good news, it's the last bastion of political cowardice.

Doesn't she realize that whether she resigns or not, whatever the scandal is will become public anyway?

Oh, wait . . .

Sarah Pee needs thera-py

I think she just could not stand Michael Jackson dominating the headlines....
She wanted her mug on the front page

Maybe she just woke up & realized being a Governor is a lot like being a Community Organizer, it is a lot of WORK!!!

Karen Zipdrive said...

If she wanted to trump MJ's death, she could have called the press conference that afternoon.
She didn't want too much publicity or any questions about her shocking announcement.
She wanted all the major news anchors to be off for the holiday, especially those at MSNBC.
Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow's heads would have exploded with the fishiness of her news.
Monday's gonna be a Palinpalooza on MSNBC!

Gail Collins of the NYT says she hopes the upcoming scandal involves a Soul Mate.

Distributorcap said...

i guess she needs counsel from a wise Latina woman

Karen Zipdrive said...

Soul mate?
Don't you have to have a soul first?

NancyLou said...

Watch the video -- she was nervous and chirpy and giggly the whole time. Something's definitely up. Also, she mentioned doing the best thing for Alaska so many times it was ridiculous. Time will tell.

She's going to do her own late night television show so she can make jokes about David Letterman's family members...
