The 30-Minute, Prime Time Obama Infomercial

I have come to my final conclusion regarding the presidential race.
Those who have not, will not or cannot vote for this amazing man are (choose as many as applicable):

1. Stupid
2. Ignorant
3. Oblivious
4. Intractable
5 Out of Touch
6. Rich and Greedy
7. Heartless
8. Mentally ill
9. Hateful

Tonight, Barack Obama carefully spelled out who he is, what he stands for and what he plans to do as president.
He was not petty and vindictive toward his deceitful, hate mongering, slanderous opponent, nor his running mate whose racist code language and rampant ignorance rivals that of the worst of that ilk: George Wallace, Adolph Hitler and John Birch.
Obama embodies all that America presumes to be--freedom loving, wife and family loving, fiscally responsible, spiritually reverent, kind-hearted, mature, decent and strong.
This is I man I truly believe might turn out to be the best president in American history.
This is a man whose sincerity is unquestionable.
This is an honorable, loving man.
This is a persuasive, intelligent, articulate man.
This is a man who America can proudly show the rest of the world as an example of what is good about America and it's people.

Unlike I could have ever done, Obama has weathered and transcended the relentless smears, lies and hate speech from his opponent and anyone associated with the McCain campaign.

I have been voting for presidents since 1972, when I cast my first vote for George McGovern. Never have I seen a candidate conduct a campaign as loathsome, disgraceful, dishonest and anti-American as John McCain and Sarah Palin.

I am so pleased that I, in my small way, contributed funds Obama has used to spread his message and overcome the relentless attacks from the right.
I am thrilled he had enough money left over at this late stage to purchase 30 minutes on all the major networks for his final speech to the American people.

The immediate reaction to his 30-minute presentation from the pundits has been rare in its unequivocal praise. Virtually anyone with a brain and a heart agrees- Obama's final remarks were flawless.

McCain is a very tiny little man compared to Obama.
If he's the best the Republicans had to offer this election cycle, they have finally gotten what's coming to them. Political annihilation.

Sic semper tyrannis, motherfuckers.

Blogrolling is down so I have to post the url to this hilarious blog:

It's two old ladies, like more than 80-years-old, who've been best friends for 60 years. One lives in Maine and one in Texas.
Go see them!

I have seen that link - Margaret and Helen.

I missed the 30 min thang- glad to hear your take on it.

That was 30 minutes well spent. That was a very good use of campaign funds. Then again, the use of funds for something a bit more constructive than a new wardrobe is constructive in itself!

After that 30 minutes, if people still want to think that Obama is an elitist who is going to turn the U.S. into some kind of prison work farm for white people, then there's no reaching them.

HELLZ yeah KZD well said!!

I really enjoyed it. That man elicits hope and love, not pettiness and hate.

And I blogroll Helen - that old broad kills me with her moxie.

K.O. just fucking excoriated Palin on her latest "terrorist tie" accusation against Obama... reporting that the guy she's talking about was funded by John McCain to the tune of 1/2 million bucks. OMG!!!

Then earlier today, Tweety actually allowed DeLay on his show, and DeLay said some unbelievable shit, and then our girl Waaserman came on & kicked his fucking felonious ass.

OH my gawd what will I do after the election?

I guess recover from acid reflux for one thing...

It's so obvious-- McCain and his brood mare Palin have thrown terms at Obama like terrorist, Marxist, Socialist, Communist, Arab, unAmerican, inexperienced, elitist, Muslim, etc. because they can't just come out and call him a n*gger and get it over with.
You just know if they could just call him that as much as they wanted, they wouldn't need all those other bullshit mischaracterizations.

The idea that they are both probably racists to the bone is all the sweeter when you condsider how they'll feel on Nov. 5 after "one of them" beats the living hell out of them in a landslide victory.

The infomercial was nothing short of brilliant.

KZ -- thanks for opening that door, I had the same thought about what they really wanna say when they call it redistribution of wealth : Obamas gonna take MY money and give it to Niggers, Beaners and Gooks who sit around all day smoking crack and selling bootleg dvd's to school kids. I swear that's their real message beneath the coded one, it almost always is.

As a Virgo, I applaud (and am picky about) perfection. And that was IT.

Sometime this summer I read an account by a couple of Alaskans who were in a diner right after Obama won the Democratic nomination. At a nearby table was Sarah Palin and they overheard her saying, "So, Sambo beat the bitch, ey?"
And McCain has never even pretended to have any prominent Black supporters.
I'll bet the only Black people he knows call him sir and fetch him his afternoon cocktails.

Hey genius, you left out reasons #11 and #12.

11. Not a citizen of the US
12. Currently incarcerated.
13. Live in a state which is locked up for Obama and wish to vote for a better candidate- like Cynthia McKinney.

Thanks, Anonymous. Good ones!

All I could think after that 30 mins is "I wish I could go and vote for Obama again."
