Obama's Big Leadership Test
By now everyone has likely heard about Gen. Stanley McCrystal's interview with Rolling Stone Magazine, where he said some disparaging things about the president, the VP and others.
If Obama, the Commander in Chief, tolerates this blatant insubordination without firing this weasel, then he's proven that he's too spineless to lead this nation--especially while there are wars in progress.
Even when Bush 43 was president, he was still commander in chief. I doubt he would have tolerated McChrystal's candor.
What do you think?

I think the General either has huge balls the size of the gusher in the gulf or is about as intelligent as a dandelion.
i think mcC is gone - but i will always believe that between the words - mcc was saying - the n***** in the white house is ruining my war
i bet he was drunk.
He shoulda been loooong gone when his orchestration of the Pat Tillman coverup was exposed. Obama's pathological insistence on trying to make family pets out of GOP roadkill kept Stanley around long past his expiration date, he reeks and needs to go.
He should go. It sound like he has an emperor-complex, probably massaged by not hearing people say "no" to him very often, or as the article alludes to, blatantly kissing his backside.
The unelected military needs to be reminded about who is in charge.
Sounds as if the military has a habit of dissing "the suits"--understandable, but yakking about it to the Rolling Stone is just dumb.
What were they thinking? that they'd emerge as cool?
That McChrystal and his aides spoke so candidly to Rolling Stone, of all magazines, tells me his judgment is completely shot to hell.
That could explain why the war in Afghanistan has continued to be a quagmire of Biblical proportions.
the backstory i heard is they ended up hanging for a long time because of the ash from the volcano and somebody got the idea that it would be cool to show off for the rolling stoners, typical nerds trying to wax cool
I view it as rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. They are all Bush 2's men-- McChrystal or Petreaus - it's all the same.
A war that can't be won, run by Bush warhawks.
