The AFA: America's Feckless Assclowns?

Call or write Johnson & Johnson and tell them they did the right thing!
Below is the insulting e-mail the AFA's head hatemonger is passing around the Internet.
Please call J&J, then send this to anyone you know who will contact them, praise them and tell them to stand up to hatemongers.
I called the Chairman's secretary direct. She's a very nice woman who welcomed my remarks graciously, especially when I reminded her that gay people have tons of discretionary income they'll be more likely now to spend on J&J products.

Now, read this and get pissed off!

You will not believe this ad by Johnson & Johnson

Dear Friend of the Family,

*Johnson & Johnson has placed an ad for its Tylenol PM product in the July 19 issue of "The Advocate," the nation's leading homosexual magazine.

The ad shows two shirtless men in bed side by side. The text over one reads: "His backache is keeping him up." Over the other: "His boyfriend's backache is keeping him up."

Click here to see a copy of the ad. (Be warned, it is offensive)

You probably aren't aware that Johnson & Johnson is also a charter advertiser on the homosexual network LOGO. Thanks to Johnson & Johnson's committment to financially support homosexuality, it is only a short time before this premiere homosexual-based network will become a part of your local cable package (if it isn't already). While Johnson & Johnson voluntarily helps get the network off the ground, you will be forced to pay for it as part of your regular cable bill.

Johnson & Johnson says they will ignore emails from OneMillionMoms.com, so your personal involvement is needed today!

Please take time to call Johnson & Johnson. Their toll-free number is 1-800-962-5357, option 5 (you may be on hold for a minute or two). Their corporate phone number is 732-524-0400 with little or no waiting time.

Tell them to stop their financial support of homosexual networks and magazines. Please be kind, but firm, when you call.

Tylenol PM is sold under Johnson & Johnson's subsidiary, McNeilnConsumer & Specialty Pharmaceuticals.

Please take action now, then forward this critical issue message to your friends and family.

That's your religious rightwing nutcases at work.

YOU MUST BELIEVE AS WE DO OR WE WILL ATTACK AND DESTROY YOU BECAUSE WE FEAR WHAT WE DO NOT AGREE WITH OR UNDERSTAND!!!!

They're gonna be REALLY pissed when they die and find out that EVERYBODY got to go to heaven.

YOU MEAN I GOTTA SPEND ETERNITY WITH ALL DEM HOMOS? WHAT'S THAT, GOD? WE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE TOLERANT? YOU MEAN WHEN YOU SAID "LOVE THY NEIGHBOR" YOU DIDN'T MEAN ONLY THOSE WITH THE SAME RELIGIOUS BELIEFS AS ME? GODDAMMIT!!!

hee hee hee. couldn't resist the old steve martin joke there.

I notice the tagline on the ad says "Stop. Think."

Wildmon and his ilk would prefer it to say "Stop thinking," I'm sure.

If heaven is stocked with hatemongers, who'd want to go there?
I think hell is where people who pretend to be God's outraged messengers end up.

now THERE'S an interesting topic for discussion - each person's individual beliefs on heaven and hell...

i mean, sh*t, we've been discussing politics. might as well bring up the OTHER topic you discuss with people you want to piss off.

The funny part is that those that are offended by the ad are the same people who would NEVER read that magazine in the first place!

That would be like me going to a vegetarian's house and telling them STOP EATING BROCOLLI!!! I DON'T AGREE WITH IT, SO IT IS EVIL!!! (btw, I hate brocolli. *ugh*)

That, to me, would be borderline hypocritical. Oh wait, we're talking about religious nuts here...so the hypocrisy goes without saying.

So if the religious loonies are offended by the ad, why don't they just NOT open the mag. And if it pisses them off that J&J are placing an ad in that magazine, why don't they just buy their products somewhere else? That freedom of choice thing is the beauty of our country (at least for now).

But instead what do we get? The same thing we get WHENEVER the religious-right loonies find something they don't understand (read: something they FEAR): they have to try to force the situation to conform to their rigid belief system and to hell with anyone else's personal beliefs or rights.

hmm, upon reading my own writings, it appears that i may have some small bit of an attitude towards organized religion...

Broccoli is THE most nutritious vegetable.

You are going to hell if you don't eat it. It's God's Chosen Vegetable.

Repent now!

These people can't be getting much sex if they are that preoccupied with the sexual orientations of others.
Didn't the Bible say "Judge not, lest ye be judged?"

hey the troll is back!

or is he? now you see him, now you don't. what fun!

OK, brocolli lovers - I looked it up in the bible and here it is:

The Book of Evil Vegetables Chapter 3, verses 16-25

...and so spake Jebediah to Jacob to Ezekial to Jeb to Ephram to his begotten wife. "Nay shalt thou cooketh of the vile green putrescence which is brocolli. For, verily, I sayeth, it cometh NOT from thine Lord, but from the Serpent himself. Beware that which is brocolli. However, I sayeth, verily, thou shalt partake of the fruit of the vine which is Spinach and which is blessed in mine sight, which hath been lovingly bestweth upon thine heads by thine Lord God Almighty. Amen"

...and then a couple pages later, it says something about the number of the Rove being 666.
