Joe the Plumber!?
As usual, John McCain got hold of a thought and perseverated on it like a dog eyeing a juicy bone. Another sign of his impending senility--repetition
"Joe the Plumber will have to pay more taxes."
"Joe the Plumber works 7 days a week, 12 hours a day."
"Joe the Plumber deserves fair treatment."
"Joe the Plumber is my friend."
"Joe the Plumber is America."
Here's my take on it.
If Joe the Plumber can afford to buy a business that will pay him more than $250,000 a year, fuck him, he needs to pay more taxes.
Besides, has anyone actually hired a plumber lately?
Those motherfuckers charge more than a neurosurgeon would just to snake the damn hair out of your shower drain.
I have a plan for Joe the Plumber.
Charge your customers less and make less than a quarter mil a year and you'll pay fewer taxes, you greedy bald-headed shitty booted bastard!
Listen.
If you pay me $250,000 a year, please IRS, help yourself to 50 percent of my income. That leaves me $125,000 a year and that's enough to live a very comfortable lifestyle, even with kids, a mortgage and two car payments.
Once again, McCain chose to harp on an unsympathetic character. Rich plumbers will not play well with educated professionals like architects, lawyers, accountants, educators, the clergy, musicians, artists, nurses and even most politicians.
For him to make the first quarter of the debate all about Joe the rich fucking plumber shows he's totally out of touch.
Oh, and John, plumbers DO NOT work 7 days a week.
Not unless you pay them triple, you senile, filthy rich motherfucker.

According to a very reliable source:

umber-wurzelbacher-related-to-charles-keating-of-keating-5-fame
Turns out that Joe Wurzelbacher from the Toledo event is a close
relative of Robert Wurzelbacher of Milford, Ohio. Who's Robert
Wurzelbacher? Only Charles Keating's son-in-law and the former senior
vice president of American Continental, the parent company of the
infamous Lincoln Savings and Loan.
I happen to know a bit about the plumbing business. Nobody is working those hours these days, but I bet a lot of people would like to.
In the current business climate with slow housing starts, a huge chunk of our business has been lost.
Remodeling used to pick up when housing starts went down, but these days people are afraid of using the equity in their homes. You don't remodel only to see the value of your home plummet after you put real cash into it.
And the third thing is that the price of gas makes putting a gas guzzling plumbing van on the road pretty freakin' prohibitive.
And finally, there's healthcare.
In other words, taxes are the very last concern of those of us in the plumbing industry. Paying taxes you are making money. I'd love to meet the accountant that told Joe not to buy that business based on a tax package that is two years in the future.
more distractions for mccain -- this is now all smoke and mirrors so people dont see what a douche he is
ps - i bet he has a big old hairy crack
This Just In:
Joe the Plumber isn't even registered to vote.
Jeeze, apparently McCain doesn't vet his rally infiltrators, either.
What a douchebag.
Maybe McCain should have picked Joe to run as his VP?
Here's another interesting little fact just in (Hardball): Joe the plumber is not even a licensed plumber in the state of Ohio ....hmmmm!
Cris
So basically, Joe the Plumber seems to be someone they created to fit some crazy demographic so we'd take our attention off McCain during the debate while he was melting into a quaking mass of rage and untreated PTSD.
I got it now. Riiiight.
the keating 5 story is a hoax perpetrated by a guy going by the name, martin eisenstadt. it's not his first hoax. i found out right before i posted about joe the plumber and had to delete an entire section about the keating 5 connection. i'm not saying that he isn't related, just that it hasn't been proven.
that said, i think he was a plant, and the moronic media is treating him like he cured cancer.
Oh well, that still makes Joe the Not a Plumber a phony plant.
