Congress to Bush: Simmer Down, Lil' Cowpoke

Looks like Congress is not going to grant Dubya his outlandish wish list for the Department of Homeland Security.
Dubya wants to cram just about every agency in the government under the Department of Homeland Security, including the Coast Guard, FIMA, the Secret Service, and more.
It apparently hasn't occurred to him that a brand new cabinet department might want to start small and work its way into becoming the biggest cabinet in the history of the United States.
I just can't say 'duh' loud enough.
Dubya's homeland security efforts have a 49 percent approval rating in the Congress.
That means GOP party loyalists are about the only ones propping him up on this half baked plan. Partisan politics have their place, but covering for an imbecilic plan like this is not one of them.
